REGISTRATION FOR THE 2025 PROGRAM IS NOW OPEN. Advanced registration is REQUIRED. General Admission WILL NOT be available at the gate. We are currently accepting registrations for individuals and day programs ONLY through April 5th, 2025.

School registrations are now closed. Please proceed to add your school to the waiting list. As we receive cancellations, your school will be notified and provided with a Waitlist Registration Code. Thank you!

DISABILITY ACCESS:

The Mobile Changing Unit - a 24ft trailer containing an adjustable-height adult-sized changing table, human lift system, accessible sink and toilet with grab bars, and a dedicated outlet for wheelchair charging.
The Sensory Escape Room - This space is intended to provide a place for individuals who are experiencing sensory overstimulation to stim, retreat, and self-regulate so that they are able to stay and engage in community experiences longer instead of going home.
THEIA Medical Group - Supporting Fiesta Especial Celebration Day with onsite nursing support in our First Aid Tent. Theia Health offers experienced HCS and ICF Registered and Licensed Vocational Nurses. Providing telephone triage, Comprehensive Nursing Assessments, staff training, PRN support, pre-survey audits, and much more. theiahealthgroup.com

Fiesta Especial is a unique combination of Fiesta experiences for children, adults and families of all abilities. Activities include a Royal Court, one-day carnival, Inclusion 5K and Parade. Fiesta Especial is proud to offer family-friendly, tobacco and alcohol-free experiences that are inclusive and accessible to individuals with disabilities and families.

The Fiesta Especial carnival experience takes place on Tuesday, April 29th in the Alamo Dome Parking Lot C from 10am - 3pm. You can ride all types of rides, play games, eat yummy food and participate in a Shoebox contest. This is an inclusive and educational experience that attracts special education classes, group homes and day programs from San Antonio and surround communities.

ADVANCED RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. No general admission will be provided at the entrance to the event. The DEADLINE for schools to register to attend is Friday, April 5th at 5:00pm OR until registration has filled up. No Exceptions. Registrations will not be accepted after this deadline and unregistered guests will NOT be allowed into the event on April 29th.

Teachers and Students: Advance reservations are required. Reservation includes complimentary admission and unlimited rides for students and their teachers/caregivers. This year, we are limiting the number of students attending to ensure we are continuing to create an inclusive experience for all. We will be limiting it to a first come, first serve basis. If we reach our cap, you will be put on a waitlist to be added if any openings occur.  Field trip materials and resources are available for your use. Free admission for students and their support networks with advance reservations. Schools may apply for a bus reimbursement award. Due to reduced funding, we are unable to offer school bus stipends this year. Please do not request these funds if your school has the resources to cover your trip. PLEASE NOTE that the Assumption of Risk Agreement is required at the time of registration.

Service Providers: If you operate a day program, group home or provide services to individuals with disabilities, please click on the "Service Provider Registration" button to learn how to participate in Fiesta Especial this year. Individuals and Families:  If you have an individual with disabilities in your family and would like to bring them out to participate in Fiesta Especial, please click the "Individual/Family Registration" button.
