- Fiesta Especial is an official Fiesta San Antonio event created for children and adults with physical, cognitive and developmental differences and the family and friends who love them.
- Fiesta Especial 2013 is organized and hosted by four organizations that serve children and adults with special needs: Reaching Maximum Independence (RMI), Walzem Family YMCA, disABILITYsa.org and u|ability, a special needs ministry of University UMC.

- Fiesta Especial serves as a field trip for over 2,500 children with special needs from public and private schools, shelters, group homes and Senior Centers from San Antonio and surrounding areas.
- Beverages (non-alcoholic only), food, rides, crafts/activities and games will be available through the purchase of tickets.
- Businesses may participate as an information or commerce booth. A $100.00 registration fee is required for information and $150/day fee required for Commerce booths.
- Nonprofit organizations serving children and/or adults with disabilities may participate with an information booth with a $25 registration fee.
- Proceeds from Fiesta Especial 2013 will be shared by RMI, Walzem Family YMCA, disABILITYsa.org, and u|ability for scholarships, recreational activities, education, day programs and residential services that improve the lives of children and adults with special needs.
- Fiesta Especial is an alcohol-free, tobacco-free, smoke-free and weapon-free event.
- Pets are not allowed on the premises. Service dogs are permitted.
