The Fiesta Especial® Royal Court program is a leadership and life skills development program for individuals with cognitive, physical, and sensory disabilities. The program creates visibility for the leadership and contributions individuals with disabilities make in our local community. $20,000 must be raised to underwrite the cost of this charitable aspect of Fiesta Especial. Fiesta Especial® creates inclusive and educational experiences engaging individuals with disabilities in the culture and celebrations of Fiesta® through community instruction and training. Throughout the year, Court participants work to create visibility for the leadership & contributions individuals with disabilities are making in our local community each day.
The Fiesta Especial® Royal Court is a leadership and life skills development program for youth and adults with disabilities. Through this program, participants have numerous opportunities to learn and develop skills in social environments, leadership interactions, problem solving, communication and more. Fiesta Especial® Royal Court participants have the opportunity to take part in a BIG Reveal Party, Coronation Ceremony, Fiesta Appearances, Parade, School and Organizational Appearances, Service Projects, Ceremonies and other activities. The Fiesta Especial® Royal Court is a program for individuals, ages 10 and older, who have a cognitive, sensory or physical disability. The Fiesta Especial® Royal Court members represent their peers at various Fiesta® events and activities bringing awareness to the leadership and contributions offered by one more segment of the beautiful canvas of people that make San Antonio a wonderful place to live, work and play. The estimated cost of each court member's participation in the program is $1,000 for the full-year. Sponsorships for the Royal Court program underwrite the costs of the supplies, Coronation, sashes, crowns, gown stipends, admissions, transportation, workshop materials, medals, pins, marketing, recruitment, staff, parade entries, and more.
