Fiesta Especial® SHOEBOX FLOAT DISPLAY CONTEST
WHEN: Tuesday, April 25th, 2023 @ 10:30 A.M. (Display line-up by 10:15am) WHERE: Alamo Dome Parking Lot C - 100 Montana St., 78203 CATEGORIES: "Fiesta Diversity", "Fiesta Medal Craze", "#ILoveTacosSoMuch"
All entries will receive a participation ribbon. Gather up a shoe box and decorate it to the best of your ability! All entries are invited to participate in the Fiesta Especial Shoebox Display featuring your “Shoe Box Float”. All Participating Floats will be put on display throughout the Fiesta Especial® event. FLOAT SPECIFICS 1. All entries will consist of one decorated shoe box or wagon. The outside of the box or wagon may be decorated. 2. Please affix the entry form to each float prior to your arrival. Be sure to note the # of students involved in GROUP entries on the form so that every student receives a participation ribbon. Participation will be limited to ONE ENTRY per classroom. 3. Entrants must appear Tuesday, April 25th at 10:15 am in front of the entertainment stage to receive display instructions. Not all students need to be present for display instructions. You may send a campus representative to submit your entry. 4. Parade participants will place their floats on designated display tables for the judges to review. 4. All Participating Floats may be put on display throughout the Fiesta Especial® event. Please bring weights to hold floats down while they are unsupervised and on display. 5. Entries will be judged on effort, originality, beauty and the child’s, adult’s or group’s own work. 6. Suggested materials: tissue paper, cotton balls, construction paper, toothpicks, Popsicle sticks, tape, paste, crayons, paint, markers, pipe cleaners, crepe paper, small artificial animals or people, etc. etc. |
