Celebration Day Volunteer FAQ
VOLUNTEER HOUSE KEEPING
Please bring a hat, sunscreen and water bottle. Water will be available, but the use of your own container is appreciated. Snacks and Water is available for you in the Volunteer HQ. You are also welcome to bring a cooler for your personal items. Restroom facilities are available via the Porta Pottie units provided by the Carnival Grounds.
VOLUNTEER ARRIVAL, CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT
Upon arrival, please check-in at the Volunteer Check-in Table and they will get you set-up in the right location with the right equipment. Volunteers will receive a volunteer badge, VOLUNTEER wrist band along with any equipment required to complete your task at the event. Volunteer Badges will need to be returned at the end of your shift. You can pick up your volunteer service letter at the end of your shift as well.
Please do not leave prior to your scheduled departure time. Assistance with the set-up and tear-down of your area is included in your time slot. There is a period of transition between shifts to allow Shift 1 to help orient the new volunteers arriving for Shift 2.
Shoebox Parade Judges: Please check-in at Volunteer registration for a wristband and then head back to the stage to connect with Pam Kelly.

SENSITIVITY TRAINING SHEET
Please take a few minutes to read through the attached Sensitivity training sheet. These are great reminders for interacting with individuals with disabilities with greater awareness and respect. Please click here to download a copy of the sensitivity training sheet.
PARKING/DROP OFF
ONLY busses and vehicles needing to utilize a wheelchair lift for a passenger will be able to drop off at the front gate on Cherry St and must enter Cherry off of Montana. ALL other busses, vans and cars need to drop off students in the notated area of Parking Lot B and must enter Cherry Street from Caesar Chavez. A parking pass is enclosed for each vehicle noted on the registration form. Complimentary parking available (with pass) in Parking Lot B.
SPECIAL AMENITIES
At Fiesta Especial® Celebration Day, you will have access to port-a-potties and accessible port-a-potties, adult diaper changing stations, tube/private feeding area, Registered Nurse on duty, chair at most rides, no music blaring from rides and Acadian Ambulance to make your visit more accommodating to your student’s needs.
MIDWAY MAP
A map of the midway will be emailed out prior to the event day. The map will identify event amenities as well as indicate which rides will be open for our use. To download a copy of the Midway Map, click here.
COMMEMORATIVE PHOTO
Please be sure to visit the Photo Booth for a special commemorative Photo of your visit to Celebration Day. Props are available to make this a super fun experience.

GAMES & ACTIVITIES
The Carnival Operated games are closed with the exception of a few. There are fees associated with each of the carnival operated attractions.
